Expression of Interest – Signal Technicians

We are seeking applications from skilled Rail Signal Technicians to become part of our team

As a Signal Technician with Category 5 your accountabilities will include but not limited to;

  • Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks as instructed by client supervisors
  • Monitor equipment failure rates and change failed components where possible as opportune times to limit the impact of the subsequent equipment downtime
  • Undertake routine maintenance in accordance with the maintenance plan and seek opportunities to improve the plan and planning process

To be considered applicants must meet the following essential criteria:

  • Nationally Accredited Cert IV Railway Signaling or Equivalent -with proven Maintenance experience
  • A Grade (Cert III) Electrical Trade Certificate
  • A current WA drivers license
  • On-board signaling maintenance experience
  • Have a good attitude towards safety and experience working in high safety critical environment
  • Willing to pay for your own flights from the East Coast if needed
  • Able to pass Rail Category 1 medical and ongoing D&A screens

  Desirable but not essential:

  • Four Wheel Drive training
  • HR 
  • First Aid training
  • Inducted and experience on BHP, Rio Tinto, FMG, Roy Hill, PTA, and/or Arc Infrastructure Networks

The Role:

Currently seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their Newman workshop.

You will service, maintain and repair our Heavy Rigid Waste Fleet and Industrial Services Fleet (i.e. Vac Trucks, Sweepers & Light Vehicles). You will be working in a fast paced workshop, therefore you will need to be capable of working autonomously and effectively in the hot conditions.

Category 5 is currently seeking a Fire Technician for a ongoing position local to Port Hedland. 

The scope of work includes Fire Suppression, equipment testing and general works on Fire Pumps and Panels.  Working on a Monday-Friday roster, our client is offering above award wages for the right candidate.
