Category 5 Labour Management are proud to partner with our leading Engineering client who specialise in heavy industry, infrastructure and Electrical Engineering projects throughout Australia.
Our client is currently seeking experienced Senior Electrical Engineer’s (RPEQ Preferred), for ongoing projects withing Gladstone Queensland. All roles are Full-Time Permanent positions, Monday to Friday.
The Role – Senior Electrical Engineer
The Senior Engineer is responsible for coordinating and managing workgroups and projects associated with the delivery of electrical control and systems design for various clients across many industries.
Role Duties include:
- Guiding and mentoring Project Engineers and Graduate Engineers with project work, designs and technical issues.
- Responsible for review of work completed by engineers.
- Support the development of the Engineering team with specialist skills to service the business industry clients with a specific focus on electrical system engineering.
- Understand and keep abreast of International Standards, Australian Standards and legislative requirements.
- Manage and report on projects including budgetary and time frame management.
- Contribute to business development and direction by introducing new markets and innovations.
- Develop reports, specifications and technical papers as required by the company and its clients.
- Continual development and improvement of the company systems.
- Develop and maintain contracts with clients.
- Assist Management with project work and designs.
Experience & Qualifications
- A minimum of 7 years relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience in managing electrical engineering projects for clients with successful outcomes.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical designs and software packages.
- Strong level of knowledge and commitment to safety and customer service.
- Exceptional written and oral communications skills are required.
- Well organized, pragmatic and able to handle a diverse and complex workload.
- Demonstrable advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Friendly and approachable with a good sense of humor.
- Flexible, consistent with a desire to lead and learn.
- Ability to use initiative and make decisions.
- Ability to perform small to medium projects from concept stages through to post commissioning support.
- Have an advanced understanding and knowledge of PCS and power systems.
- The Senior Engineer shall be a member of / or have the appropriate qualifications to allow for membership to the Institute of Engineers Australia.
