Track Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking applications from Track Maintenance Supervisors who have experience working on Tier 1 Rail Networks to become part of our team

To be considered applicants must meet the following essential criteria:

  • A proven track record in implementing railway construction maintenance plans and develop strategies in accordance with procedures and industry best practice
  • Shown evidence in providing input to the planning of rail construction and the team, to ensure safe and efficient execution of works
  • Ability to manage unplanned breakdowns to ensure equipment is constantly operating in a timely manner and administrate the reporting of asset breakdowns and damage
  • Organise the maintenance of assets such as hi rail excavators, front end loaders, tool trucks, service vehicles etc.
  • Thorough experience in the supervision of contractors and subcontractors to ensure technical and quality standards are achieved safely and efficiently
  • Lead and develop a maintenance workforce (Electricians & Mechanical Fitters) with team structure to meet operational scopes and budgets
  • Implement standards and continuous improvements for hazard/risk identification and the ability to develop controls and verification procedures
  • Supporting the lead construction personnel to ensure product and equipment is available as required to execute rail works
  • Lead by example within a key role supporting the overall rail maintenance teams
  • Good communication, interpersonal and people management skills
  • Planning and improvement strategies on the capability of equipment and people
  • Sound judgement including balancing competing issues
  • Full C Class Driving Licence or higher with no restrictions
  • Able to pass Rail Category 1 medical and ongoing D&A screens

  Desirable but not essential:

  • Trade qualified Electrician or Heavy Diesel Fitter
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Suite, planning systems, administration
  • Inducted and experience on BHP, Rio Tinto, FMG, Roy Hill Networks
