Category 5 Labour Management and Cat5 Rail is a locally owned and operated labour hire business, supplying trades and maintenance personnel to various industries within Port Hedland and surrounding Pilbara towns.
Our client is a global mining company who contributes the iron ore loading port here in Port Hedland helping to make it the largest in Australia.
They are currently seeking Road Maintenance Operators on an 8/6 roster that would require them to work remotely along the network. Successful candidates will need to have strong focus on safety, previous operating experience with tickets listed below and be an advocate for positive team culture.
To be considered applicants must be meet the following criteria:
- Current HR Drivers licence
- Current Operating tickets – bobcat, skid steer, excavator, roller, forklift
- Maintain and operate a 4WD certificate
- Ability to work remotely and stay at camp
- Ability to pass a Medical with a LABDAS
- Australian Working Rights
- Local to Hedland of FIFO ex Perth
As part of the role, your main responsibilities and experience will include but aren’t limited too:
- To enable the safe movements of road traffic between the mine and the port, in accordance with the Traffic Management Plan, Rail Code of Practice and The Precision Heavy Haul Railroad understanding.
- To complete road maintenance activities safely by managing risk in line with agreed procedures, minimising the impact on railway availability
- Undertaking preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance and repair work as required in line with the Code of Practice
